Airbus’s next-generation H160 helicopter has received type certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), clearing it for operations in the country. Powered by Safran Arrano engines, the first H160 delivery in China is scheduled for May to Shanghai Jet Airways Technology Co. Ltd.
Shanghai Jet Airways, which previously placed an order for 50 H160 helicopters from Airbus, will begin expanding its fleet with this delivery. The H160 is designed for a range of missions, including VIP transport, air ambulance services, and energy sector operations.
